Philile Mncwango, of the events company, said the Department of Basic Education has partnered with them and they have invited six schools with special needs including, St Vincent School for the Deaf, to come and have a fun-filled day of various sporting activities.

Last year, she said her company partnered with Special Olympics who are still on board. They also bring children with special needs to come and play

Mncwango said the purpose of the event was to create an awareness for children with special needs. She said pupils will play a soccer knockout and also have a wellness day as part of the entertainment.

Headway, an NPO for stroke survivors, will join in the fun and games, after which medals will be given to the winners. Headway will also have a stall where they will exhibit their products.
