Brothers boost Entokozweni children

ALEXANDRA - Two young entrepreneurial brothers have opened their hearts for the kids of Alexandra's Entokozweni Daycare Centre.

The HM Lewis Foundation of brothers, Henry and Moses Lewis of Sandton, made a huge donation of stationery, toiletries, soccer balls and cornflakes to Entokozweni Daycare Centre at the corner of 12th Avenue and Vincent Tshabalala Road in Alex.

The two young entrepreneurs began the foundation after establishing H-M Lewis Trading, which is a financial market analysis firm based in Sandton. Moses said the focus of the foundation was mainly on child welfare and education and hence the donation they made to Entokozweni. This in an effort to uplift the welfare of the children of the centre and also strengthen their education and educational resolve through the provision of educational and play materials and other items.

“Our primary aim is to endeavour to empower the underprivileged children through the provision of basic welfare and educational scholarships,” Moses said. He added, the vision of the foundation is to try and uplift children together with their communities in an effort to ‘make them better future citizens of the country who are equipped with the necessary education and knowledge to make it in this cut-throat world’.

The items donated included drawing and writing materials, crayons, books, soap and colouring-in books. Moses said the donation would not be a once-off affair but the foundation will, from time to time, make other donations to other institutions, in order to spread the benefit and strengthen more children and their family members.
