A case of assault on a motorist by a group of men is being investigated by Alex police.
Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said the victim was assaulted at about midday on 16 July this year on the corner of 3rd and Watt streets in Wynberg. He was parking his Toyota on the street when a suspect, driving a Toyota Avanza, bumped into his vehicle from behind.
The suspect then phoned other people who on arrival and without uttering a word, joined the suspect in attacking the victim. Police arrived and stopped the fight but no one was arrested.
The victim sustained facial injuries and was rushed to Alex Clinic for treatment.
He is helping the police with the investigation.
