Serati Maseko (24) from Alex has landed the ambassadorship of chewing gum brand, Stimorol, following rigorous auditions in which she beat hundreds of other Johannesburg girls.
Maseko, an artist, musician and model was voted for by the public at the beginning of June as brand’s first female ambassador. Maseko, who’s currently saving towards studying African literature, was partly schooled in South Africa and completed her secondary schooling in the UK where her single parent mother secured a position as a social worker.
The family then decided to move back to South Africa.
“I fell in love with music and modelling while I was a young kid growing up in the streets of Alex and pursued that dream when I completed school in the UK, and carried it back to South Africa,” she said.
“This is the first time that I have actually been chosen as an ambassador and I am enjoying it as it entails a lot of travelling around various cities in the country and meeting numerous people in the process and representing the brand.”
Stimorol activations have so far taken her to various roadshows in Johannesburg and in July the roadshows move to Durban and in August to Cape Town before returning to Joburg in September.
