The Greater Alexandra Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with law firm Bowman Gilfillan invites Alex’s Grade 10 to 12 pupils to a movie Soft Vengeance of a Freedom Fighter by Albie Sachs on 16 June at the Kings Theatre.

Sachs is one of the country’s foremost activists, human rights lawyer and retired judge of the Constitutional Court who was almost killed by a bomb while in exile in Mozambique.

The movie, chronicling his life journey, will be shown in commemoration of the 1976 students uprising and also June as Youth Month. This, as part of assisting pupils to understand the broader history of the country. Sachs will be on hand to explain his history and that of the country further.

The show will be at 10am. The theatre is located on the corner of Richard Baloyi and 2nd Avenues in Alexandra.
