UJW partners with Colgate to distribute brushes and toothpaste

JOBURG - UJW appeals for donations of toothbrushes and toothpaste to help less fortunate children this Mandela Day.

The Union of Jewish Women (UJW) has partnered with Colgate in an effort to distribute toothbrushes and toothpaste to the less fortunate children as part of the Mandela Day celebration this year.

Cindy Kree of UJW called for donations in this regard to be dropped off at 1 Oak Street, Houghton, before 4 July and that other drop-off points are available in Sandton, Orange Grove, Norwood, Savoy, Greenside and Randburg.

To commemorate Mandela Day this year, Kree said the UJW branches across the country, in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London and Pretoria, will, together with Colgate, donate toothbrushes and toothpaste to thousands of young children at disadvantaged nursery and primary schools across the country.

The initiative for this year has been themed, Catch the cavity this Mandela Day, and Kree urged the public to give generously for this noble cause in aid of disadvantaged children, which will include three Alex schools.
