Sunflower Fund needs your help
JOBURG - The Sunflower Fund seeks help to raise funds for the initial test cost for donors to register on the South African Bone Marrow Registry.
The Sunflower Fund is looking for marketing, events and media gurus to join its committee and assist them in pulling off their biggest fundraiser yet.
They will be hosting banquet on 1 July at the Hilton Sandton with the aim of raising funds in order to pay for the initial test costs for donors to register on the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR).
Tissue typing is a very costly procedure with the DNA molecular test costing The Sunflower Fund in the region of R2 000 per donor.
Funds raised from the banquet will be used to create awareness, educate and recruit stem cell donors to increase the number of people registered on the South African Bone Marrow Registry.
