A young woman is lucky to be alive after she was snatched from the street and dragged down a dark alley, raped and stabbed multiple times and left for dead.
Two men, between the ages of 20 and 25, have been arrested for the repeated rape and attempted murder of this woman.
The woman told police she was walking along Alfred Nzo Street between 10pm and 12am, turned into 18th Avenue when she was grabbed by two men armed with knives who dragged her into a dark alley.
Alex police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela stated, “She is lucky to be alive, as the suspects left her in the dark alley for dead. She was only spotted by residents after she managed to cry out and raise the alarm.”
The men will appear in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court soon on charges of rape and attempted murder.
