Wellness day comes to Alex

Residents of Alexandra are next in line to benefit from the HIVSA Anova Family Wellness Day which will take place at Eastbank Hall next to Eastbank Clinic on 23 April.

Organisers hope to attract as many as 600 members of the public to the event which begins at 12pm and runs until 3pm, and all are invited to attend this second edition of the event for the year.

Many more such wellness days are due to take place around Gauteng over the next few months. About 200 people from the Kliptown community were tested for Tuberculosis (TB) at the first of the 10 wellness days hosted by HIVSA and Anova Health Institute, in partnership with [dot]Good.

[dot]Good is a company based in Johannesburg which crafts strategies for mutually beneficial partnerships. A number of wellness tests such as eye testing and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) testing and counselling stations were also popular with 102 people in Kliptown and 50 people in Soweto utilising them.
