Zinto gives back to Saps

JOBURG - Zinto, a brand activation, entertainment and event company, recently embarked on a mission to show gratitude to the South African Police Service (SAPS) by hosting a morale upliftment initiative at Alexandra, Sandton and Sandringham police stations.

Zinto, a brand activation, entertainment and events company, recently embarked on a mission to show gratitude to the South African Police Service by hosting a morale upliftment initiative at Alexandra, Sandton and Sandringham police stations.

Zinto’s team of performers co-ordinated a dance ensemble and handed out baskets of food and toiletries to thank the ‘servicemen and women for selflessly serving and protecting our community’.

The purpose was to create awareness about the positive influence of the police and the knock-on effect it has on the well-being of the community, said Michelle Combrinck, CEO and founder of Zinto.

“Police officers are committed to making our neighbourhoods safer to live, work and visit. They give so much to us, and we need to give back to them as well as part of our gratitude for the work they do,” she said.

Zinto aimed to lead the way and inspire both corporate South Africa and the general public to grow this initiative. “[The] intention is to restore dignity among the police members while enforcing a communal sense of pride and respect towards law enforcement. In doing so we are making a small contribution to the policing community while encouraging others to do the same,” she added.

Colonel Medick Sambo of Sandringham Police Station said, “As much as we work for you, you were also able to make time and work for us, which in turn means that we are working together. Please continue doing the wonderful work.”

Colonel Ruth Griessel of Alexandra Police Station also thanked the Zinto team for their valuable support and for acknowledging the men and women in blue.
