A picture of a man sitting on top of an Alexandra police vehicle has been doing the rounds on social media.
Alex News can confirm that this picture was taken during August 2015 and the matter has been taken up with the police.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the man sitting on top of the police vehicle is believed to be mentally challenged.
Maphakela said, “The police officers spotted the man sitting on top of the vehicle and got him to get of the vehicle and then chased him away. Station commander of Alexandra Police Station, Colonel Zondi wrote the matter up and has since been dealt with.
