The challenge, the largest financial literacy initiative in South Africa, educates participants on the ins and outs of trading on the stock market and is open to all high school pupils and students from universities and independent colleges.

Corporate social investment officer of issuer and investment relations of the JSE, Ralph Speirs said, “The winning teams have performed exceptionally well. It is through hard work that they have reached this level.

“The students and pupils have shown that there is life in excellent teamwork and taking initiative and they are good examples of what the JSE aims to achieve through this project. We want to build a financially literate society and thus prove that working together can lead our country to achieve more.”
