Generous donation to SPCA results in major upgrades

SANDTON - The Sandton SPCA has a new look as they have been undergoing some impressive upgrades, making their premises an increasingly beautiful space for their animals and animal lovers.

Marketing and public relations officer for the organisation, Kylie Coleman, said that the upgrades, funded by a generous donor, began in July and are scheduled to be complete by the end of November.

Coleman said, “This will really go a long way with helping us continue the work we do here at the Sandton SPCA. These upgrades have already sparked much-needed growth in our operations and has contributed to ensuring that we make a real difference in the lives of our animals.”

Thus far, the paving of the car park on the premises has been upgraded and there is increased security through the installation of a new fence. The organisation has also finished the renovation to the storage, office and staff areas, which Coleman said will improve staff morale, increasing productivity and results.

She added, “These specific upgrades will really help with improving the aesthetics of our premises as well as our image in the public eye, encouraging the public to visit, engage with us and get more involved.”

Along with these upgrades the Sandton SPCA has also been working towards the development and building of 13 new paddocks, a dedicated surgery block and a new water system which has seen new water tanks being installed on the premises.

Coleman concluded, “From here on out, we can only grow from strength to strength.”
