Balaclava rapists of 15-year-old girl still at large

ALEXANDRA - Police continue a man hunt for two men who alleged raped a 15 year old in January while clad in balaclavas presumably to hide their identities.

Police are still on the manhunt for the two men who allegedly raped a 15-year-old school girl at the Eastbank Cemetery on 10 January.

As reported in the 30 January 2015 edition of Alex News, Girl, 15, raped in graveyard, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Manare Ramotshela said the case was reported to police by the victim’s aunt after the girl came home crying following the ordeal.

Ramotshela said the girl had been walking on 20th Avenue, near the Eastbank Cemetery at 20.45pm with a friend and her brother when they came across the two men wearing balaclavas who allegedly pointed a gun at the victims and ordered them to walk with them to the cemetery. At the cemetery, they then ordered the brother of the friend to lie down and then allegedly ordered only the girl, and not her female friend, to undress and took turns to rape her.

Ramotshela said the police were still trying to solve the case and he appealed to anyone in the community with information to come forward.
