Clothing brand seeks community icon

JOBURG - National Women's Day is fast approaching on 9 August and clothing retailers Jet want to honour the women in the community who labour tirelessly to make the lives of others better.

Jet Club is holding a competition to find a special woman in the community to represent the brand in their 2015 Jet Club Community Icon contest. This competition is strictly for club members who are invited to nominate a woman who works hard to address the needs of other – a woman who may or may not be a club member.

Clothing retailing group, Edcon will appoint an agency which will assess entries, and an Edcon panel will select 10 finalists, all of whom will win a R1 000 Jet gift card and a beauty hamper valued at R1 000. The nominators of the finalists will also be winners as they will each receive a R1 000 Jet gift card.

The grand winner, chosen from the 10 finalists, will win a R5 000 Jet gift card and a spa voucher for two people valued at R3 000, while her nominator will receive a R2 500 Jet gift card.

The club wants to celebrate and acknowledge the people who do work to benefit their communities, and said this was a perfect opportunity.
