There is a water interruption currently underway in some parts of Alexandra which Johannesburg Water, the city’s water and sanitation service provider, hopes will be resolved soon.
Communication from the water utility says the reasons behind the interruptions is an infrastructural upgrade in the township, but it does not give specific areas within Alexandra that will be affected.
The communications said Joburg Water would like to inform residents that Alex has a water interruption as a result of a planned works water disruption, starting at 7am. It is expected to last until 5pm.
Johannesburg Water wishes to apologise to the residents in affected areas and undertakes to have the interruption resolved as soon as possible.
