UPDATE: 7:30am, 20 April 2015 – It has been reported that three men linked to the xenophobic killing of Emmanuel Sithole have been arrested, with a fourth suspect still at large.
These arrested are believed to be possible because of the help from the community. The police was offering a R100, 000 reward for information on Sithole’s killers.

UPDATE: 11:30am, 19 April 2015 – The carnage that Alexandra has taking a turn for the worse.
While journalists were in Alexandra, reporting on the xenophobic attacks taking place within the community, they witnessed the brutal killing of a Mozambican national, Emmanuel Sithole.
It has been reported that he was stabbed in full view of the public, including a group of journalists from the Sunday Times.

INITIAL REPORT: In the latest wave of xenophobic attacks that have plagued the country, Alexandra was hit last night with groups of people looting many foreign owned shops.
This continued throughout the night as police battled to calm the situation in Alex.
Some of the streets where barricaded by residents of Alexander, blocking police from entering.
It is believed that some arrests have been made, however, it is unclear at this time as to how many people were arrested.
