Take a strut to see King Tut

JOBURG - THE artefacts of Egyptian pharaoh, Tutankhamun have been seen by history lovers the world over, and now it's the last chance for Joburg to get a glimpse of the historical treasures.

Discovered by Howard Carter in 1922, Tutankhamun and his treasures have been on exhibition at Silverstar Casino on the West Rand since 2 December last year.

The exhibition has been seen by more than 60 000 people since its opening, but must unfortunately come to a close on 12 April.

Leading Egyptologist and archaeologist, Dr Zahi Hawass, who recently visited Johannesburg for a series of lectures said, “This exhibit is unique. It shows how it all happened.”

It isn’t necessary for visitors to read up on their history prior to seeing the exhibition, as an audio tour covers all bases and immerses each visitor in a unique and exciting experience.

The tour that takes about two hours has been commended by critics and historians.
