A man who defecated at his neighbour’s house and later stabbed him several times after the victim complained, has been arrested for attempted murder.
The victim said he was sitting in his house and watching TV with his family when he decided to go out and fetch the dog dish in order to feed his pet. When he got outside, he found his neighbour defecating next to his house.
When he asked him why he was defecating in the open and next to his house instead of using the toilet, the suspect never answered and the victim then went inside the house after asking his neighbour to find a spade to collect his faeces.
While in the house, the victim heard his neighbour calling and asking for the spade. He got out and found the suspect standing next to his door and holding a spade. The suspect then pulled a knife and tried to stab the victim on his chest, but he blocked the attempt.
A struggle then ensued and the victim was stabbed several times on his right hand until the knife fell to the ground. The victim then tried to grab the knife, but was hit on his forehead with the spade.
The victim had to be rushed to Alex Clinic for treatment to the stab wound and a gaping to his forehead. Police arrived on the scene and arrested a 27-year-old man who is expected to appear in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court soon on a charge of attempted murder.
