JOBURG - The Junior Chamber International in Sandton, Aretsosaneng Events Services, and Equipment Hire (Pty) Ltd plan to hold car wash project on 28 February to raise funds for the Go Green Campaign in Alexandra.

The Junior Chamber International in Sandton and Aretsosaneng Events Services and Equipment Hire plan to hold a car wash project on 28 February to raise funds for the Go Green Campaign in Alexandra.

The Go Green Campaign seeks to interact with the community of Alexandra to find solutions to eradicate filth and waste in the township by encouraging residents to recycle their waste.

The chamber hopes to launch the green campaign on 28 March. The chamber’s vice-president for projects, Lorna Mqingwana said, “If successful, we plan to carry this campaign on a quarterly basis. We aim to hold a series of workshops with the residents to educate them about recycling and various buy-back options.”
