Have your questions about Ebola answered today

JOBURG - The Minister of Information and Communications of Sierra Leone, Alpha Kanu, will host an online press conference on 10 February at 3pm.

Since Sierra Leone recorded the first confirmed Ebola case in May last year, the government of president Ernest Koroma imposed travelling restrictions and closed all schools across the country.

A few weeks ago, the president himself eased these travelling restrictions and announced that schools, including tertiary institutions, will reopen on 30 March.

Critics say this is too soon, as the country in the past week recorded spikes in the number of confirmed Ebola cases, according to the WHO.

To talk more on this and the general state of Ebola is Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Communications who doubles as government spokesman, Alpha Kanu.

The Minister of Information and Communications of Sierra Leone, Alpha Kanu, will host an international press conference to explain this and several other issues, including concerns over the spike in Ebola cases, particularly in the western areas of the country.

The public will be able to ask questions live online.
