Stamp of approval for Sithandiwe

ALEXANDRA - After the Post Office's Mandela Day 2014, disabled children at Sithandiwe Care Centre in Alexandra have revamped, new-looking building where they receive treatment and therapy.

Employees of the post office gave the Sithandiwe Care Centre for disabled children in Alexandra a makeover on Mandela Day.

The post office’s group executive, Kabelo Mothobi and Prof. Hlengiwe Mkhize, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Postal

Services were also present. They helped to paint walls, gutters and poles, plant trees, tile the floor and wall of the cooking area, and to hand over bed linen.

This was done in partnership with the humanitarian organisation Gift of the Givers.

Sithandiwe accommodates children with disabilities, and has 10 children who live there full-time and 41 people who use the daycare facility.
