Alex police get spoilt

ALEXANDRA - "Selfless work" by members of the police in crime ridden Alexandra did not go unnoticed on Nelson Mandela International Day.

Staff members from Zinto Marketing Group, an established brand activation, entertainment and events company, took time off from their busy schedules and paid tribute to the men and women in blue by pampering them with food parcels.

This was in tribute to the former great leader and president, Nelson Mandela; and Zinto wanted to show gratitude to the members of the South African Police Service in Alexandra and thank them for a job well done, said company spokesperson Mmule Ncongwane.

Zinto’s team of performers hand out food parcels to officers at the Alexandra Police Station.

Through the 67 minutes, Zinto aimed to create awareness about the positive influence of the police and the knock-on effect they have on the well-being of the community.

The Zinto team co-ordinated an experiential event to uplift the morale of police at the Alexandra Police Station, and to thank the servicemen and women for selflessly serving and protecting the community, Ncongwane added.

The men and women in blue were entertained by performances from the Zinto team before receiving food parcels which were sponsored by KLM Food Services, who also wanted to show their appreciation and support for the members of the service.
