ALEXANDRA - A woman aged between 40 was arrested after the police’s K9 Unit members found a huge consignment of dagga with street value estimated to thousands of rand in a house belonging to the suspect.

A woman was arrested after the police’s K9 Unit members found a huge consignment of dagga in a house belonging to her, with the street value estimated at thousands of rand.

Police followed information which led to a house in Alexandra. The house was searched and three bags full of dagga, hidden in one of the rooms on the premises, were found.

The dagga was confiscated and the woman arrested. Captain Kabelo Marumo of the Gauteng Provincial police said the suspect has since appeared in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of drugs.
