Sacred Heart College’s U16 boys soccer team won the Johannesburg Championship League grand final match in a highly competitive game against Holy Family College.
The game was a tied at 0-0 after regulation time which resulted in an extra 10 minutes each way. The teams could still not be separated, which resulted in a penalty shootout which Sacred Heart College won 5-4. “Congratulations to all involved,” said Peter Augustin, the head of the sports department at Sacred Heart College, “especially to the coach Mirek Baran and manager Magesh Pillay.”
