The proposed school billed as world class which is set to open its doors in Alex next year, has finally secured a home.
Kgololo Academy, which is Setswana for set free, will be housed at 10 2nd Avenue on the premises of the Methodist Church.
“The northern hemisphere’s expression of April showers bringing May flowers is a perfect analogy to describe Kgololo Academy’s journey over the past few months,” said co-founder of the school Waahida Tolbert-Mbatha.
“The month of April was filled with showers and challenges, but in the month of May, we are [enjoying] the beautiful fruits of our collective labour. We are thrilled to announce, that with your support we have secured a facility for Kgololo Academy and it will happily be located in the heart of Alexandra.”
She went on to express her gratitude to everyone who has been involved in the process.
“[Thank] all of you for what you have done and will do to ensure that the lives of hundreds of children are enhanced through an education that will empower them to finally set their dreams free,” she said.
“We are forever grateful and promise to do whatever it takes to ensure that Kgololo Academy students are given the stellar education that they deserve.”
