Alexandra will be the beneficiary of a Golf Day to be hosted by Rays of Hope, a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), on 4 June.
Organisers Rays of Hope said sponsors Alexander Forbes will host the event at the Bryanston Country Club, which will be conducted to raise funds for the community of Alexandra. Rays of Hope have secured a full field of four-ball sponsors who will participate on the day.
Pro-golfer Dale Hayes will be the master of ceremonies on the day and will facilitate a question and answer session before a buffet dinner. A prize giving ceremony will also be held before the buffet dinner where prizes will be awarded to the golfers of the day for various categories, including the top players in the field.
Guests can expect loads of surprises on the field, in line with the 2013 Golf Day. Rays of Hope started operating with one project in Alexandra in 1991. The organisation now has a network of 12 community based projects, impacting over 1 000 people and focusing mainly on unemployment, health care, education, psycho-social care, asset-based community development and orphans and vulnerable children.
