Man finds neighbour hiding under his bed

ALEXANDRA - A man who had gone on an errand the previous night returned to his house the following morning to find his yard mate hiding under his bed.

A man returned from a night out to his house the following morning and found his neighbour hiding under his bed.

Asked what he was doing under the bed, the neighbour , known only as Freedom, claimed he had come to get something. He said he had gained access to the house after been given the keys by the landlord. The landlord denied this.

The landlord who has a house in the same yard claimed he was missing two pairs of takkies, a DVD and car battery to which Freedom denied responsibility.

A case of theft was opened at the Alexandra Police Station and police arrested Freedom. The stolen items are valued at R6 000.

Alex Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said Freedom was due to appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court soon.
