Kgololo Academy’s new board member

ALEXANDRA - Kgololo Academy, the world class school soon to open its doors in Alexandra, has announced the appointment of Amelia Motsepe to tts board of directors.

Motsepe holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master of Law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC in the USA.

She did her articles of clerkship at Deneys Reitz Attorneys (now Norton Rose) and later worked as a researcher for the South African Institute for Advanced Constitutional, Human Rights and International Law.

Motsepe completed a year’s clerkship with the Justice Kate O’Regan in the Constitutional Court of South Africa where she dealt with complex issues of constitutional and human rights law.

She has also worked at the Open Society Foundation and was involved in managing a portfolio of grants worth million of rands a year to advance law, human rights, HIV and health policies in Southern African countries.

Prior to this, she was a senior associate at Bowman Gilfillan attorney’s practising in the Competition Law, Lobbying and International Trade department. Motsepe is a co-founder of Reithuteng organisation, which develops strategies for the educational and career development of youth from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
