Suspects wanted for armed robbery

Two men are wanted by Alex police in connection with an armed robbery.

The robbery took place outside the Sankopano Centre on 10 January. It is alleged that the victims had just collected money from clients of the funeral scheme at Sankopano when the incident took place.

Police spokesperson Warrant officer Moses Maphakela said, “As the victims were walking out of Sankopano two guys appeared and one pointed a gun at them and asked for money.”

The suspects took R7 800, two cellphones, an iPad and car keys, and fled.

No arrests have been made and police are investigating a case of armed robbery.
