Passionate about education

ALEXANDRA - A grade 12 pupil encouraged all pupils in Alexandra to study together in preparation of the final exams.

A Grade 12 pupil encouraged his fellow pupils to help one another in preparation for the final exams.

John Singo of Realogile High School appealed to other pupils at a prayer meeting held for matrics at Sankopano Hall. Singo believed that Alexandra schools could achieve a 100 percent pass rate this year.

“I teach other pupils because we have to stand together and make sure we all pass,” Singo said. He gives extra lessons to pupils of his school and other schools. Singo is passionate about education. “If pupils can call or SMS me I will make it a point to get back to them and we can make arrangements to meet and study together,” Singo said.

Raymond Martin, Gauteng Department of Education’s district director for Johannesburg East said he was proud of Singo’s initiative to help his fellow pupils. “We need more pupils like Singo,” said Martin.
