Another foetus found in Jukskei River

ALEXANDRA - ANOTHER abandoned foetus was found in Jukskei river, exactly two weeks after the first one was found.

A second foetus was found in the Jukskei River on 7 October by a worker of Shomang Sebenzani Development Initiative.

Another foetus was found two weeks ago close to the same spot in the river. In the latest incident the worker, Sara Mudau was clearing litter from river when she came across the foetus. The police were called to the scene immediately.

Warrant Officer Ananias Mashaba of Alex police said an inquest case would be opened. “There will be an investigation and hopefully we will find the mother,” Mashaba said.

Another worker, Betty Mano said, “Young girls should stop doing this, we are also parents and we don’t want to find such things in the river”.
