The Oyster Wine & Food Festival is crowned as Gauteng’s largest Oyster Festival and promises to bring the city of Johannesburg yet another sophisticated, exciting and vibrant event. 65 000 succulent oysters from Knysna are said to arrive this year and are to be paired with 40 prime Wine Estates and Gourmet food vendors. You are sure to have your palette tantalized with the offerings.
You can look forward to an enlarged, champagne & oyster deck that includes six Metode Cap Classique producers and those special large oysters.
The ever popular Beer Garden features four craft beers and the new section, The International Expo, is dedicated entirely to international wines and beverages that are sold and promoted in South Africa.
Entrance to the Festival is R140.00 per person which includes a wine tasting glass and large array of food to be tasted, eaten and bought. Children 14-18 years, entrance fee R110.00.per person, Children 13 years and younger enter free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Fresh oysters, along with grilled prawns will be abundantly available for famished Festival-goers. Oysters will be sold at R20 (Medium) to R40 (Giant). Special Festival Offers on Medium oysters, 6 oysters R100 and 10 oysters R150. 10 Grilled Prawns served with rice and lemon & garlic or peri-peri R140
