This April, two of South Africa’s most iconic bands will perform a special show together at Montecasino.

The Real Concert Series will take place at Montecasino on 7 and 8 April.

Joining Prime Circle and Just Jinjer, with frontman, Ard Matthews, is Tailor, one of the hottest up-and-coming artists. This epic line-up of unique and historic artists will be playing the music that has shaped the local music industry. An original presentation, the performance will feature a full string section and once-in-a-lifetime collaborations between all the artists.

Prime Circle is formed by Ross Learmonth on vocals and guitar, Marco Gomes on bass, Dale Schnettler on drums, Neil Breytenbach on the keyboard and Dirk Bisschoff on guitar. After notching up six studio albums, several chart-topping singles, a string of awards and countless sold-out gigs, the band has earned their status as South African rock royalty.

Just Jinjer are one of the biggest rock band exports in South African history, having sold more than a quarter of a million albums to date. During the band’s career, they have had eight number one tracks across national radio, and some high-profile television soundtrack syncs including MTV’s The Hills and the American network ABC’s popular television show Cougar Town.

Over the course of the last decade and a half, well-known singer, songwriter and Just Jinjer’s frontman, Matthews, has been honing his craft and moving people the world over with his music.

The breakout act for the series, with two 2013 South African Music Award (Sama) nominations behind her debut album The Dark Horse and a 2015 Sama nomination behind her second album Light, Tailor’s journey has been nothing but a feat of celebratory confidence.
