Police are requesting the man appearing in the photo to come forward with information that can help them solve a murder that occurred at the Colosseum block of flats on the corner of Kruis and Commissioner streets in the CBD.
Captain Xoli Mbele of Joburg Central Police Station said a 30-year-old male, Xolani Xabashe, was found murdered in his flat on 2 June 2014. “Investigations revealed that he was strangled and paramedics certified him dead on the scene,” Mbele said.

He said the person in the photo allegedly tried to exit the block of flats with the deceased’s TV set on 1 June 2014. But he was stopped by security guards after failing to produce the required documents. The bag he is seen carrying in the photo allegedly belonged to the deceased.
