Women in ICT to be honoured

JOBURG – MTN SA honours outstanding women in the ICT industry with new awards.

Women who excel in the ICT industry will be honoured in an inaugural Women in ICT – Partnership for Change Awards whose finalists in the different categories have been announced.

MTN SA has announced the finalists who will be vying for the coveted winner’s prize in various categories in the awards scheduled for 31 August at a gala function to be held at Hyde Park in Johannesburg.

The announcement of the finalists follows an intensive adjudication process where a panel of judges examined the nominations submitted for the awards which are a pioneering women recognition programme that was launched by MTN in partnership with Kagiso Media’s Jacaranda FM and East Coast Radio.

“We are encouraged by the calibre of the women who were nominated for our Women in ICT – Partnership for Change Awards initiative and

wish to congratulate all of them and wish them luck in the finals.

“I also wish to express my gratitude to the judging panel that has taken the time to participate in the adjudication process,” said Mteto Nyati, CEO of MTN SA.

The awards are segmented into eight categories.
