One coach from eight provincial winners in line for Paris

JOBURG – One lucky coach from the eight provincial finalists of the SA Danone Nations Cup will travel to Paris in France.

Sportswear company, Mille, as a Danone Nations Cup partner, is offering one lucky coach who led their school team in the Danone Nations Cup national finals in June, an opportunity of a lifetime – to attend the world finals in France later this year.

Mille, which has been kitting out the tournament teams in the provincial finals and national finals for the past three years, is rewarding a coach who managed to get their team to the national finals through hard work, dedication and their commitment to training South Africa’s young footballers.

The world finals will take place in Paris, France from 14 to 16 October this year. The winning coach will travel with a Mille representative as well as the Danone media team.

The package includes travel, accommodation, all meals, accreditation to all three days of the tournament and excursions to experience some of the local culture.

Benny’s Sports Academy and Development from Vhembe, Limpopo, won the South African Danone Nations Cup and will, therefore, be at the world finals so the coach to travel overseas will be chosen from the other eight provincial winners.

The judging panel includes professionals, led by Sundowns scouts, who attended most of the provincial finals and were present at the national finals.

The coach will need to have shown high levels of team organisation, discipline, structure, spirit and effective communication skills throughout the duration of the tournament.

Danone acknowledges that the prize is an extremely valuable gesture from Mille, since providing a local coach with such an experience benefits not just the winning school, but also surrounding schools and South Africa as a whole.
