Alex police officers are investigating a case of malicious damage to property against a jilted female lover.
According to the spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang, the incident happened at the suspect’s former boyfriend’s property in Ext 7 at about 4.10am on 16 July.
The suspect allegedly went to her ex-boyfriend’s home and tapped on the bedroom window. When the victim asked who it was, the suspect ordered him to open the door or she would break the window. The victim refused to open the door and allegedly told the suspect to do whatever she wanted.
The suspect then allegedly threw a brick at the window and broke it, thereafter leaving the premises.
Damaged caused was estimated at R330.
