Budding Alex actors wanted for auditions

IDN Multimedia based in Alexandra is looking for budding actors to audition for various roles in an upcoming TV drama series titled, Edlozini.
The series once shot in Alexandra and at a village known as Val in Mpumalanga, will be televised on Mzansi Magic on DStv, which has tentatively agreed to screen the drama.
One of the founding members of IDN Multimedia, Thandi Mashinini said in an exclusive interview with Alex News that the audition will take place on 15 April at the Ikemeleng Youth Centre on the corner of 8th Avenue and Alfred Nzo Street in Alex.
“We’re looking for people of both genders between the ages of 18 and 45 years to audition for 22 roles in the drama series, but that number will be much bigger as we will also need extras for various roles in the drama,” Mashinini said.
Mashinini, whose IDN Multimedia was founded last year with its three founding directors including herself as a writer and Eric Moloi and Nqobile Dube, who are both drama series directors and producers, said the auditions will start at 9am and will run until 5pm.
The unfortunate part is that the role of leading woman in the series, Thobeka, has been taken and will be played by 24-year-old Mashinini herself.
