DJ Black Coffee set to play at Coachella

JOBURG - DJ Black Coffee was given some exciting news on 5 January – much-needed news in the midst of an ongoing court case against the much-loved DJ.

On 25 December last year, the famous South African was caught driving 200kph in a 120-kilometer zone.

His court case, set for 5 January, was postponed to 23 February, but that was not the only news he received on the day – it was also confirmed that he will perform at one of the world’s biggest music festivals, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Coachella is a two-weekend-long music festival attended by the biggest Hollywood celebrities, which runs from 15 to 17 and 22 to 24 April.

On confirmation of the news, the DJ tweeted “@coachella Let’s go!!!!!!!!!!!” with a picture of the official line-up, which includes himself.

The South African DJ, whose record label Soulistic Music is based in Joburg North, will perform on the same stage as Guns n’ Roses, Disclosure, Calvin Harris, ASAP Rocky and many more popular international acts.

It seems that this year will be the year of Black Coffee.
