Win tickets to Mo Yoga for Movember

Various yoga institutions, including Hotpod Yoga, will come together at The Sheds@1Fox, situated at 2 Fox Street, Johannesburg, on 7 November, to get men and women enthusiastic about the yoga movement.

The event has come together as an attempt by the Movember Foundation, a global charity that is fully committed to helping men lead happy, healthy and longer lives, by encouraging them to exercise more.

November is a month more commonly known as Movember and, since the movement began a few years ago, is now recognised as a month during which men can grow their facial hair in an effort to detect any underlying health issues that may have gone unnoticed – the inability to grow facial hair can indicate a problem with the prostate.

The foundation is creating a positive change for men’s health by raising awareness and educating men about prostate and testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

Movember encourages men (and women) to move every day of November – so remember to take a 30-minute walk to work, play a game of ping pong or go on an epic bike ride because no movement is too big or too small.

This year, the foundation wants you to join the movement so they’re giving away two sets of double tickets to Mo Yoga.

HughesRhythm and Chiba will make music at the event while the three yogis teach you about strength, balance and flexibility.

Winners will be announced and contacted on 3 November.

Make sure to get down to The Sheds to experience the yoga madness with the three experienced yogis, Daniella, Steve and Mischa who will co-ordinate relaxing Vinyasa yoga sessions – a special kind of yoga that links body movement with one’s breathing.

All you need to take with you is your towel and your moustache.
