Search begins for Miss SA 2016
JOBURG - FOLLOWING the successful crowning of the stunning Liesl Laurie at Sun City this year, the search is on for Miss South Africa 2016.
Sun International has confirmed that entries for the Miss SA Pageant 2016 are now open and will close on 5 September.
Laurie described the joy she experienced when she won the pageant in March. “[Winning] meant the world to me and I believe my story will inspire many people across the country, and that is a very special part of the title for me,” she explained.
“Being able to motivate and inspire someone makes me excited knowing that I could make a difference in their life.”
The pageant will be held in March next year at Sun City, and the lucky winner will also get the unique chance to represent her country and compete in both the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants.
All entrants who have registered online must attend regional judging at one of the following venues:
- 1 August: Port Elizabeth at the Boardwalk Hotel
- 15 to 16 August: Cape Town at Grand West Casino and Entertainment World
- 22 to 24 August: Johannesburg at The Maslow Hotel
- 5 September: Durban at Sibaya Hotel
