The Motsepe Foundation is offering bursaries for tertiary study in the 2015 academic year to matriculants who passed the 2014 matric examinations.
The foundation, which is part of mining mogul Patrice Motsepe’s charitable initiatives, will award the bursaries to 375 pupils from 26 district municipalities and metro-Motsepe Foundation Development Forums around the country.
The awards will be in addition to the current 360 pupils awarded bursaries last year to study at various academic institutions throughout the country. Eligible applicants should have excellent results, come from needy families, and intend to pursue courses preferably in mathematics, science, engineering, technology and business studies. Those wishing to study in other fields will also be considered, provided they also possess excellent results.
The deadline for application submissions is 12 January. Interested candidates can download the application form ‘Educational Funding for Scholars and Students’ from www.motsepefoundation.org and email them completed to the secretary of the appropriate district municipality/metro-Motsepe Foundation Development Forum in their area or to info@motsepefoundation.org.
