South Africans consume the most porn
JOBURG - Less is certainly not more when it comes to South Africans and their porn.
Statistics from international porn website, Pornhub have revealed that South Africans spend more time on its site than the rest of world.
According to Pornhub, South Africans viewed 7.5 pages and spent 10.35 minutes on the site per visit.
That’s one minute and 39 seconds more than the worldwide average of nearly nine minutes.
Meanwhile, the largest proportion of South African traffic on the site came from Gauteng, accounting for 55 percent of users, which the site attributed to the area’s population density.
The site found that January was the busiest month while July remained the slowest, which was in line with the worldwide general decrease in visitors seen in the summer months.
Nationwide, the term ‘Indian’ topped of the search list while the terms ‘milf’ (mother I’d like to f…) and ‘lisa ann’ were the second and third most popular searches respectively.
Other popular terms searched by South Africans were ‘ebony’, ‘South Africa’, ‘mom and daughter’ and ‘teen’.
Typically, the most activity was seen between 10pm and midnight while the slowest time of day was from 3am to 5am.
However, South Africans did prioritise major events such as funerals over their porn watching habits.
The country’s traffic on Pornhub slowed dramatically during the four hour broadcast of the late former president Nelson Mandela’s funeral.
According to the site traffic was down 22 percent compared to an average Sunday, but spiked again after 10pm.
The stats were released earlier this year and were based on trends during 2013.
