JOBURG - One of the country's oldest and historic football clubs, Orlando Pirates has launched an online magazine that will keep its faithful supporters abreast with developments within the club.

One of the country’s oldest and historic football clubs, Orlando Pirates has launched an online magazine that will keep its faithful supporters abreast with developments within the club.

Known as Buccaneers Online magazine, it will feature a sophisticated design, stunning photographs of players and officials off and on the field, and videos. “Orlando Pirates has taken in supporters’ feedback over the years and put hundreds of man hours of design, programming and testing in order to bring out an online magazine that will appeal to the Ghost fans and also help capture those still undecided about which club to support,” said brand activation manager Tokoloho Moeketsi. Because of its emblem, Pirates is often affectionately referred to as The Ghost.

Moeketsi said as the first football club-dedicated magazine in the country, Buccaneers Online Magazine would also feature exclusive interviews, behind the scenes shots, columnists and lots more.

To kick-off this inaugural issue, club chairman Dr Irvin ‘Iron Duke’ Khoza, a son of Alexandra, speaks about the rich history of the club and the mandate he has at the club. There is also an interview with captain Lucky Lekgwathi who shares his thoughts on the team.
