The Johannesburg leg of the casting sessions to find a new ambassador to replace current Miss South Africa, Rolene Strauss, when her reign ends next year, will be held at The Maslow Hotel, Sandton, with registration starting at 8am, and entrants are advised to get there early to avoid the long queues.
Hopefuls must be 18 years or older but not more than 27 years, and must bring their swimwear, sarong and an interview outfit, a copy of their ID document and matric certificate. Entry forms and a photographer will be present at the castings.
The winner of the Miss SA title will receive more than R1.2 million in prizes. The judges will be looking for someone with charisma, the quintessential South African girl-next-door who is not afraid to speak her mind and is passionate about her country.
