Scary school holiday programme at Sci Bono

NEWTOWN - Get set for one of the scariest school holiday programmes Joburg has ever seen!

This terrifying programme will return to Sci Bono Discovery Centre due to public demand, and will feature real shark dissections.

Children and adults alike will have the chance to dive headfirst into the dark, murky world of one of the scariest but least-understood creatures on planet earth.

The programme will give people the chance to get up close and personal with “Jaws”, to learn more about them through sight, touch and smell.

A visit to the daily shows could also reward visitors with one of 50 tickets to the Days of the Dinosaurs exhibition.

The shark dissections will form part of the centre’s Groovy Green Earth holiday programme.

The programme will feature various activities that will enthrall and entertain young and old for hours.

Visitors will be able to to build mini indoor gardens, electric generators and solar heaters, or go on a Segway ride around the centre.

The programme will also feature planetarium and science shows – in addition to the more than 300 permanent exhibits at the centre.

The programme will run from 28 June until 20 July at Sci Bono Discovery Centre, corner of Miriam Makeba and President streets, Newtown.
