Police in Alexandra are looking for a 19th Avenue suspect in connection with allegations of common assault after he hit his girlfriend with a brick.
The victim of 18th Avenue said her boyfriend arrived at her mother’s house and demanded that he be given the clothes he had bought for their son the previous day as he wanted to take their son on an outing.
The victim said she refused and angered by this, the suspect was said to have first slapped the victim before grabbing a brick and hitting her on the shoulder. The suspect is also said to have beaten the son.
Alex police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said police were still looking for the suspect.
