Betway Premiership football now live on Showmax
The Premier Soccer Leagues acting CEO, Mato Madlala, says the Showmax partnership is a game-changer for the continent.
Avid lovers of the beautiful game can now watch their favourite teams live on Showmax, courtesy of a ground-breaking partnership between the Premier Soccer League, SuperSport, and Showmax.
The tripartite partnership has led to the birth of the Showmax Premier League mobile streaming service, which means all matches of Africa’s best league will now be watched by subscribing fans across the entire continent.

This will start with the flagship Betway Premiership, which will now be available to Showmax Premier League subscribers at no additional cost. In addition to all the 380 league games, football fans can stream every PSL match live, including major cup competitions such as the Carling Knockout Cup, MTN8, and Nedbank Cup – all for just R69 per month.
This partnership opens up access to millions of fans across the region and ensures they never miss a moment of their favourite teams in action. The Showmax show will kick off with the opening matches of the Betway Premiership on September 14 in which Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs will square up against Marumo Gallants, who recently bought the status of Moroka Swallows, while Royal AM take on Cape Town City at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Meanwhile, champions Mamelodi Sundowns will begin their campaign on September 17 with a derby clash against SuperSport United, while newly crowned cup kings Orlando Pirates, who will be contesting the MTN8 final against Stellenbosch FC, begin their league challenge against Chippa United a day later.
The league’s acting CEO, Mato Madlala, described the Showmax partnership as a game-changer which will bring top-flight football to the fans to enjoy the sport they love, wherever they are.
