Kwaito superstar Zola 7 to perform in Alex
The iconic poet-turned-musician, writer and actor Zola 7 said he was still finalising the dates with Mobicel and once that was confirmed, he would make the date public.
Music lovers in Alexandra can look forward to a visit by one of the most powerful voices in the country and Kwaito music icon Zola 7, whose birth name is Bonginkosi Dlamini, who is earmarked to stage a performance in the township on a date still to be confirmed.
Zola 7, who is also an ambassador for Mobicel, said he was working closely with his partners on a date to descend on the township for a live performance that will also punt one of their newest products.
“I am back in business,” said the Soweto-born Kwaito star in an interview with Alex News. The iconic poet-turned-musician, writer and actor said he was still finalising the dates with Mobicel and once that was confirmed, he would make the date public.
“I want to prove to those who had written me off that I am back and as powerful and vibrant as before. My fans in Alex can keep watching this space for that announcement and ultimate show,” said the star of Yizo Yizo, a popular yester-year student drama series on TV.
